Speaking of no Nerdcore love from Myspace, they rejected Ytcracker again.

I know spam is a big problem with websites, but come on. Forget the fact Ytcracker isn’t a spammer anymore. Who do these people think they have on their site? Almost every Myspace Music member copies and pastes their promo crap on all their friends’ walls. You know, the thousands of them who they know.

Couple that with the amazingly ugly glitter gifs thanking their new online friends for “the add.” It’s like we actually went backwards to the Xanga days of the 90’s. Next thing you know they’ll start allowing Javascript to disable the right click with an alert(’Don’t steal my images!’); and people will start bitching about the lack of e-props.

Seriously, though

There are other places online which can spread the Nerdcore-ness. Rhymetorrents, Nerdcorehiphop, and Hipster, Please! all get love from publications and other big name websites (when is my time to shine? ). Myspace is good for only one thing, spamming your friends. While it still helps the scene, these other places can grow and become the definitive places for the latest, in uhh… Nerdcoredery. Myspace is not going to offer that chance.

I might have mentioned this before, but there is the Rhyme Torrents BBS and The Nerdcore Ning Network. Two great places to get in the know and connect with the Nerdcore people themselves.
