In the front line
A few days ago was Problogger’s New York meetup. And I proudly wore my “Hello my name is” sticky tag badge with “Nerd-Music.com” written on it. And I return, victorious and with a link!
Well, just that one link from a night’s worth of networking. After introducing myself and the site, I hear “what’s that?”. Eventually, the words Nerdcore, chiptunes, and Nintendo got tiring to say. But having an open bar helps when you’re out in the front line.
Other times I tried to spread the genre and raise awareness came with mixed results. Tracks about porn and warez did the best. I don’t have a lot of friends who are as nerdy as me, so many don’t relate.
Spreading a musical idea is tough, like trying to get your local supermarket to stop playing Lite FM tough. But I will continue on, like the brave keyboard warrior I am, as long as there is an open bar.

Hey bud, next time bring CDs with give out
Ahh man, I need to make them first!
Now that I think about it, it’s a nice way to promote the music.
