Weird Al Yankovic - I’ll Sue Ya

Weird Al made a big splash with his famous White and Nerdy track. But I ran into another track which is pretty good, not exactly nerdy. But’s hey, it’s Weird Al. And this time he’s making a song about America’s litigious society, Rage Against the Machine style. It’s just spot on how some people think and the crazy lawsuits we hear about.

I have a sneaking suspicion this music video was made with Flash. Just a guess. Not that I’m complaining. OK Go’s “Here It Goes Again” looks really low cost but got insanely popular. So it looks like low cost videos seem to work really well. Low cost, that is, compared to shooting them live like White and Nerdy:

Nice. I have heard about Al’s “Rage-ish” song for a while, but I’m woefully behind in my music purchases. Nice to hear it.

The video is quite good, I must say. I’ve been experimenting with flash myself, and it can be trying. I was especially impressed with the ‘handheld’ feel of some parts. Nice use of the camera path. (OK, I’m geeking out on a whole other level here..)

You can see some parts being repeated to speed up production. And yeah, the parts where the camera shakes to the music is a real nice touch.
